“Secret Society”, a short film presented by ActionDignity premiered at Arts Commons
The short film “Secret Society”, presented by ActionDignity’s BlACK Project premiered at Arts Commons on April 13th, 2023.
The film project is led by 3 youths with the support of the director, Melanee Murray-Hunt.
“Secret Society” explores issues of race, relationships, and the trials and tribulations of 20-somethings navigating complex and often unjust systems. This 12-minute short focuses on themes of competition and meritocracy in a modern world.
A cast Q&A was also held after the film show. The director and the production team shared the stories behind of the film production and discussed with the audience about the social issues they want to reflect in this film.
