Empowering Youth for Policy Change
Our Youth Community Leadership Team recently took a deep dive into Policy Advocacy and Systems Change! Through engaging discussions, they explored key problem themes identified in policy dialogues—many of which deeply resonated with them.
Using the Problem Tree & Solution Tree model, youth worked in teams to analyze the root causes and impacts of these challenges. They then applied the Water of Systems Change Model to map out the six conditions of change:

🔹 Relationships & Connections
🔹 Power Dynamics
🔹 Mental Models
By the end of the workshop, they drafted their own policy asks, demonstrating their commitment to driving meaningful change in their communities.
We are so proud to see the growth and progress of our youth leaders—their critical thinking, passion, and dedication inspire us every day. Watching them take ownership of advocacy and systems change gives us hope for a more equitable future!
