BLACK Youth Excellence Event Showcaseed Youth Leadership and Community Empowerment
We had an incredible time last Saturday celebrating BLACK Youth Excellence—a day filled with connection, creativity, and community power!
This inspiring event brought together Black youth to celebrate what Black excellence looks like in action. One of the major highlights was the Pitch Workshop for our Community Initiative Plan, where seven dynamic youth groups presented innovative ideas focused on:

🔹 Collective Action & Learning
🔹 Building Successful Futures for Black Youth
We were proud to award seed grants to three outstanding teams whose pitches stood out for their vision and impact. Congratulations to the groups with projects of below:
🔹 Capacity Building for Youth Mental Health through Art
🔹 Black Beauty and Barbershop Workshop
🔹 Black Girl Mentorship Pilot
These young leaders will begin bringing their initiatives to life in the coming months—and we can’t wait to see the change they create.
This event was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when youth are empowered to lead. They showed up, spoke out, and truly shined.
