An Evening of Enlightenment and Inspiration: Reflecting on Our Black History Month Celebration Event

On February 29, ActionDignity hosted a remarkable Black History Month Celebration event, bringing together a diverse community to immerse themselves in an evening filled with enlightenment and inspiration. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for this memorable occasion.

The event was enriched by the presence of esteemed panelists, each contributing their unique perspectives to the theme of resilience. Dr. Dami Adingupu from Themarriageadvocates Canada, Adanech Sahili from Immigrant Outreach Society (IOS), Natacha Pierre from Haiti Alberta Sports et/and Culture Club, and Tekeste Araya from Eritrean Seniors Resource Society engaged the audience in a captivating discussion. Through insightful stories, they highlighted the power of collaborative efforts in driving positive change within our communities.

We express our sincere appreciation to the local black community organizations that actively participated, showcasing the incredible work they’ve undertaken to advance the integration of black communities. Their dedication and contributions are vital in fostering unity and inclusivity.

Beyond being a mere event, our Black History Month Celebration provided a unique opportunity for attendees to unite, reflect, learn, and pay tribute to the remarkable resilience that has shaped our shared history. It serves as a testament to the strength and perseverance of the black community.

As we continue to honor and celebrate Black History Month, we invite everyone to join us in recognizing the importance of resilience in building a more inclusive and harmonious society.
