ActionDignity’s GrOW Member Engagement Event Strengthens Community Voice and Connection
On May 15, 2025, ActionDignity’s GrOW Project hosted a powerful Member Engagement and Community Feedback Event, bringing together 23 community leaders from 14 ethnocultural organizations across Calgary.
The event served as a vital space for connection, reflection, and relationship-building. A key highlight was the presentation of insights gathered from one-on-one sessions held between ActionDignity’s Executive Director and each GrOW member organization last year. These insights sparked meaningful discussions around community priorities, challenges, and the collective path forward.
Participants described the experience as “eye-opening” and appreciated the opportunity to see how their voices are directly shaping ActionDignity’s work. One attendee shared, “This event helped us understand how our voices are valued. It’s comforting to know our interests are at the heart of your work.”
For many, it was their first time meeting fellow community connectors in person — a moment that fostered deeper connections and mutual support.
The feedback gathered during the event will guide the next phase of GrOW, as we continue to center community leadership in our efforts toward equity, well-being, and systems change.
