Bridging Legal Gaps Project Hosted Learn & Share Event to Celebrate Community Impact

ActionDignity and our partner organizations gathered recently for a meaningful Learn & Share event as part of the Bridging Legal Gaps (BLG) project. As we move toward the project’s conclusion in December 2025, the event offered an important opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past year in advancing legal information access and strengthening workers’ rights across our communities.

The evening featured presentations from the six BLG Community Action Plan (CAP) grantees, who highlighted the successes, challenges, and key learnings from their community-driven initiatives. Their insights demonstrated the power of grassroots leadership and the value of culturally informed approaches to legal education and worker empowerment. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to each grantee for their dedication and the meaningful impact of their work.

We also express our sincere gratitude to Pro Bono Students Canada – Calgary, whose collaboration has been instrumental in co-developing accessible legal education tools that equip community members with crucial knowledge and confidence.

Finally, we thank our funder, the Alberta Law Foundation, for their continued support in making the Bridging Legal Gaps project possible.

BLG Phase 2 is on the horizon: Bigger, Broader, Better-Connected! Stay tuned for updates!
