On July 21, ActionDignity’s Youth Justice Project welcomed more than 20 participants from community organizations to our Community Action Plan (CAP) Orientation. Together, we explored how youth-led initiatives can drive meaningful systems change and create more equitable communities.
Participants learned about the Youth Justice Project, the CAP Seed Grant application process, eligibility requirements, funding opportunities of up to $6,000, and practical tips for developing strong community proposals.
The session also introduced the Youth Justice Strategic Pillars that will guide all CAP-funded initiatives:
Legal Awareness & Education – Empowering youth with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities.
Youth Capacity & Systems Leadership – Developing leadership, advocacy, and systems-thinking skills.
Youth-Led Action & Policy Influence – Supporting youth to lead change and influence policies that address systemic barriers.
We believe lasting change happens through collaboration. By working alongside community organizations, we’re investing in youth leadership, strengthening community capacity, and amplifying the voices of racialized youth to build a more just and equitable future.
