Youth PLACE Summer Camp

2018

“What does it mean to be Canadian?”
“How do you define culture?”
“What does it mean to represent your own cultural/ethnic heritage?”
“What does it mean to be fully who you are?”

These are only some of the hard pressing questions our youths had to answer during the 2018 Performing Arts Summer Camp. It was a brilliant and memorable experience filled with laughter, creativity, learning, and deep & important conversations.

The heart of who we are and who we become in the future tightly corresponds with our curiosity, awareness of our values, and our involvement within community. Canada is a country that was built through a mosaic of people and experiences. This camp was a beautiful micro-representation of how truly powerful our collective experiences and stories are towards the progression of this wonderful country we now call home.

The video below is a highlight of some of those experiences. There are more to come from these future leaders, make sure to keep an eye out for them in the near future!
