DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interactive Community Conversation Circle and awareness-raising workshop that brings together young people to share their experiences\, perspectives\, and ideas about the youth justice system. \nThrough facilitated dialogue and engaging group activities\, participants will explore barriers to accessing justice\, discrimination\, and gaps in legal and community supports. The workshop will also examine the connections between justice involvement\, mental health\, and substance use\, providing participants with valuable information\, practical tools\, and opportunities to reflect on the challenges facing youth in their communities. \nGuided by a mental health specialist and experienced community facilitators\, participants will collaborate to identify solutions\, share recommendations\, and contribute to youth-driven strategies that improve access to supports and services. \nThis event is designed to create a safe\, inclusive\, and welcoming environment where youth voices are heard\, lived experiences are valued\, and community-led actions can help shape a more equitable and responsive youth justice system. \nParticipants will also enjoy refreshments and language support to encourage meaningful participation and engagement.
