Empowering Immigrant Integration: ActionDignity and TIES Host Roundtable with Alberta Government and Community Leaders

ActionDignity and TIES were honoured to co-facilitate a roundtable discussion with Alberta government, immigrant service agencies and grassroots organizations in May at McDougal Centre.

Dr. Sally Zhao (TIES) and Dr. Francis Boakye (ActionDignity) presented insights on the opportunities and challenges faced by the sector and grassroots community organizations who play a critical role in facilitating immigrant settlement and integration process.

Many thanks to the Honorable Premier Smith, Minister Yassin, Minister Fehr and their team, and sectoral and community leaders who joined the discussion. It was a insightful conversation where we amplified voices of racialized communities and explore possible solutions to support newcomers and ethnocultural grassroots organizations.
