Over the past two months, ActionDignity has been deeply engaged in a transformative journey through the Community Policy Dialogue (CPD) program, which was an essential component of our systems change and policy advocacy efforts. From June to July, we hosted 20 insightful and impactful sessions, bringing together leaders from racialized communities to explore and address some of the most pressing issues of our time.
Throughout these sessions, we engaged in meaningful conversations about critical topics including mental health, social inclusion, public safety, gender equity, and workers’ rights. These dialogues created a space for community leaders to share their experiences, express their concerns, and discuss potential solutions to the challenges they face.
One of the core goals of the CPD initiative was to collect and synthesize these shared stories through a collaborative sense-making exercise. This process allowed us to identify key thematic areas and develop actionable strategies aimed at addressing the communities’ most urgent needs.
As we reflect on this initiative, we are filled with gratitude for the participation and support of all the community leaders, participants, and advocates who contributed to the dialogues. Your voices have been instrumental in shaping our understanding of these complex issues and will continue to guide our future advocacy efforts.
We are excited to build on the insights gained from the CPD sessions as we move forward with our mission to foster positive change and promote social justice. Stay tuned for updates on how we will be using these insights to inform our strategies and drive meaningful action in the months ahead.
