ActionDignity hosted its 2023 Annual General Meeting and Community Event on June 22. The event was themed by “Celebrating Collective Action”. As our Executive Director Francis Boakye noted, ActionDignity’s mission of working towards transforming our community and society is not complete without recognizing the relentless and strong efforts of our grassroots partners.
It was such an inspiring evening that over 130 participants joined to celebrate Collective Action! A panel discussion was held in the Community Event. Panelists from organizations of ECSSEN Career School, F.O.C.U.S on Seniors, Youth Empowerment and Skills Centre (Yes Centre), IRERI, Mexican, Latino & Cross-Cultural Society and Filipinos Rising for Inclusion and Equity to Nurture Democracy (FRIENDS) shared their success stories of facilitating collective action towards equity.
We’d like to thank our Board of Directors for your guidance, energy and experience in helping advance our work towards equity among racialized communities. Also, many thanks to all the participants, including our members, partners, funders, donors, staff and volunteers for making our 2023 Annual General Meeting and Community Event an unforgettable experience!
