25 participants from Vietnamese, Somali, Oromo (Ethiopian), Sudanese, Rwandan, East India, and Filipino communities and Workers Resource Center (WRC) joined ActionDignity’s Community Conversation Circle on June 7.
This session was to create a safe space for racialized people to voice their lived and living experiences, build connections and collaborations among ethnocultural groups and organizations and to gain knowledge to inform actions.
Paban Adhikary, Our Essential Worker’s Right program coordinator presented on ‘Basic Workers’ Rights & Essential Workers Rights’ that protect workers in Alberta.
Participants shared their stories and experience on occupational health safety and racism at the workplace. Staff from Workers Resource Center (WRC) highlighted their areas of service and commitment to helping workers.
