ActionDignity is powered by the people of Calgary—members, volunteers, partners, and equity-seeking groups who want a fairer city.
We help local leaders step into their roles with confidence and authority. We back grassroots groups when they’ve got ideas but not enough resources. And we continue to press institutions to do better.
Because policies and systems only work if they work for everyone.
Who We Are
We started small. Just a few cultural associations banding together for a stronger voice. Over time, that voice grew into ActionDignity.
Today, we’re a Calgary non-profit organization that connects communities, shares knowledge, and ensures that the people most affected by decisions have a genuine say in them.

We picture a Calgary where background doesn’t decide opportunity.
A city where everyone can take part, feel they belong, and know they’ll be treated fairly.
Mission
Working together with ethnocultural and equity-seeking groups to advance equity through transformational change in communities.
Our mission is simple, even if the work isn’t: we stand with and support equity-seeking groups.
That means helping people and grassroots organizations build skills and confidence, while advocating for policies that make workplaces, schools, and communities more inclusive for all.
