After 3 years of deliberations, the city of Calgary released its anti-racism strategy recently. This is a plan to dismantle the systemic racism that is rooted in the cause. ActionDignity is an important partner in the City of Calgary’s anti-racism efforts, deploying its signature approaches of community mobilization and community engagement to facilitate a participatory process that engaged nearly 1700 community members to contribute to the creation of the City’s Anti-Racism Action Plan.
The strategy is a good start, and we expect the implementation and measurements of the strategy to make positive changes in our society.
