Seeds of Change Anti-Racism Education Project Kicks Off with Strong Community Engagement

We were thrilled to welcome over 30 participants representing more than 15 organizations to our Seeds of Change Anti-Racism Education project orientations on January 15th and 17th. The Seeds of Change- Engage, Educate, Empower: Understanding and Addressing Racism project brings together participants across four learning cohorts to engage in anti-racism education together.

The two main goals of ActionDignity’s Seeds of Change program are to raise awareness of racism and anti-racism and to gather a community around anti-racism systems change action. The orientations were filled with great energy and engagement. Participants gained a clear understanding of the training timeline, schedules, and what to expect in the coming sessions. Highlights included an inspiring community-building meet and greet, where participants shared brilliant life learnings and methods of learning, all over a delicious shared meal that fostered connection and dialogue. The orientation initiated the foundation of fostering a strong community around anti-racism systems change.

Overall, the orientations set a positive and collaborative tone for the project, and we are excited to continue this journey of learning, growth, and collective action with our Seeds of Change anti-racism education cohorts.

We still have spaces available for those looking to join. Please contact Maryam.Agunbiade@actiondignity.org for more information.
